Maureen Whelihan, MD, ABOG, FACOG, graduated Alpha Omega Alpha from the University of South Florida College of Medicine and began developing her interest and expertise in sexual health and wellness during her residency at the University of Florida Shands Jacksonville. She has been practicing in West Palm Beach, Florida since 1997. She serves as a Board Member of the Palm Beach County Medical Society and served as their President in 2009-2010. Among the many professional activities Dr. Whelihan has served and continue to serve are: AMA/FMA. Palm Beach County OB/GYN, International Society for the Study of Women Sexual Health, Menopause Alliance, Female Sexuality Dysfunction Advisory Board, Age Management Medical Group, Medical Media USA, Wellington Regional Medical Center, and Association of Women Physician. She is a Health/Sexual Health Consultant for CNBC, MSNBC, ABC and CBS networks, and a Guest Expert for XM Radio, Love and Sex Radio, and Blog TalkRadio/TNTBS. She is a Fellow of the American College of OB/GYN, and serves on the Board of Florida OB/GYN Society where she was the President from 2009-2010. During her distinguished career, Dr. Whelihan has been awarded Top Doctors in America, America's Top OB/GYN, PBC Women's Issues Committee, Woman of the Year, Women in Leadership, and Executive Women of the Palm Beaches.

Dr. Whelihan is an accomplished author and her book 'Kiss and Tell' is based on a survey of 1,300 women and 100 in-depth interviews. She has a very natural and relaxed approach to the topic of sex and can bring even the most conservative patients into the discussion.
